3S system's unique patented micro-plate

A mono-block microplate with extractible wells. The microplate is identified by a unique factory-printed number (bar-code); each well is also identified with the same number, as is its location on the microplate (DataMatrix). Each well therefore has its own unique ID. This original configuration simplifies your sample storage system management.

What are the 3S system components ?

The system includes :

  • Several microplate models: 500 or 1000 µl 48-well and 1000 µl 96-well models
  • Neo Robot for sample transfer from primary tube to microplate well. Neo Robot also enables tube-to-tube aliquoting
  • Neo Manager automatic control software for sample management (freezer configuration, expiry data management, sample traceability, etc.). Your sample storage system is easy to control using a simple-to-use touch screen
  • Other accessories to simplify your sample storage system management - label printer, bar code reader, DataMatrix reader, etc.


Do I need specialist staff to use this automated system ?

No. Just a few hours of training is all that is required to train your operators.

The system is controlled via a PC touch screen.


What about security ?

Disposable tips and capacitive sensors prevent contamination and enable aliquot volume checking. The system's tamper-proof features, MTBF and smart sampling system make it an extremely reliable and robust device.

Bar-code primary tube and microplate management and DataMatrix well management eliminate any risk of human error.

This automated system is an essential element in obtaining your laboratory accreditation.


How does the system work ?

The primary tubes and the microplates placed in the system are identified by bar-code.

Neo Robot selects up a disposable tip/capacitive sensor for each tube, which carries out a double detection test before taking the desired sample volume.

The sample is then placed in the microplate well.

Once all tubes have been aliquoted, the microplate wells are closed. The microplate is then ready for storage in your freezer, once it has been configured in Neo Manager.

How do you integrate it in your total chain ?

Neo Robot is a pre/post analysis automat. It can therefore be integrated at any stage in your total chain. It is connected to LIS/LIMS.

What if there is a fault ?

iLsa has designed and manufactured your machines and all parts necessary for any repairs are stored either at the Besançon or Paris sites.
